JPAC Your Lunch

Season your day with a little art at lunch with JPAC Your Lunch the second Wednesday from noon to 1 PM every month.  This program is free.  No concessions are available at JPAC but please feel free to bring your own lunch and enjoy the program while you dine.

The next JPAC Your Lunch will be on Wednesday, February 8th at 12:00pm.  The subject of this JPAC Your Lunch will be the history of Janesville Little Theatre with Ron Brown as the speaker. 

Did you know that Janesville Little Theatre (JLT) is the longest continuously running community theatre in the state of Wisconsin?  This is their 83rd season.  In preparation for JLT’s upcoming performance in February 2012, Dead Man’s Hand, come learn the history of JLT through the eyes of Dead Man’s Hand director, Ron Brown, and how the company has evolved over time in Rock County. Ron Brown is also the co-founder of Chicken Boy Productions, a local organization specializing in murder mystery dinner theatres in Southeastern Wisconsin.

On the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, Catherine, a troubled young woman, has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father's who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind. Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: How much of her father's madness-or genius-did she inherit?

Chapter 6

Comprised of six vocalists and one arranger, Chapter 6 is the only vocal ensemble to win both The International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella and the prestigious National Harmony Sweepstakes. Among subsequent honors, Chapter 6 has appeared with The National Symphony Orchestra at The Kennedy Center, and was featured on American Idol: Season 7 in conjunction with bandmate Luke Menard’s Top 16 run.
