Hello JPAC Blog Audience,
My name is Courtney Omernick and I will be spending my summer interning for JPAC. I am a senior at UW-Whitewater majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Arts Management. I’ve been involved with the arts since I was about four years old! When I was younger, I participated in many dance classes, and I’ve continued to keep dance in my life throughout high school and now college. I was also involved in band during my middle and high school years, and I’ve also acted and helped out behind the scenes in numerous theatre productions. I’m very interested in helping JPAC this summer with ticketing, blog writing, and the production of Willy Wonka in July. Since I am a Public Relations major, I love social media! So, I’m hoping that I will be able to also help JPAC out with their facebook page.
Besides interning for JPAC, I also work as an Administrative Assistant in the Alumni Relations and Development office at UW-Whitewater. My job at the University consists of assisting the Program Coordinator for our office in all the upcoming events that we hold for our Warhawk alums. I also manage the alumni email account and work on various other projects for the Directors of Development in our office. The best part of my job is being able to interact with all of our alums and listen to their success stories. It definitely gets me excited for what the future holds!
Outside of work, I am a huge pop culture junkie! I love going to movies, reading celebrity biographies, and indulging in reality TV.
If you have any questions for me, feel free to post a comment below.
Best,
Courtney
