9-12th grade, Saturday, February 11th 10am – Noon, Cost: $50

This Musical Theatre workshop teaches strategies that help activate a song for an actor or actress.  Students will learn how to break down a song and connect to the piece one moment at a time.  After partaking in this workshop students will be able to walk away having a better sense of acting terms such as beats and objectives and also be able to imagine and create circumstances that help make a singer not just a singer. They will also learn how to break down a song so they can connect to both the music and lyrics. Instead of being directed how to perform just one piece the performer will walk away with a more developed skill set that sharpens the tools and confidence needed to be an artist.
